Born in Brooklyn, New York, lives and works in New York

Brooklyn born and bred, BÄST has been a vital part of the street art scene for well over fifteen years. Screen printing is at the heart of most all his work, although it rarely stops there as he collages iconic images and logos before adding thick, heavy-handed layers of paint. His work examines the decomposition of social conventions, domestic structures and art materials both physically and conceptually. Bäst combines discarded elements of consumer imagery with house paint and graphic materials to form playful renderings that defy easy cohesion, but offer a fresh interpretation of street culture.
