Jen Stark (b. 1983, Miami, FL) has made a name for herself with use of her trippy-drippy, two and three-dimensional works that play with color, optics, and infinity. Best known for her mesmerizing paper sculptures and psychedelic public murals, the artist creates powerful works of diverse scales and mediums. Stark grew up in Miami, FL and graduated magna cum laude from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2005, with a major in fibers and minor in animation. Stark has exhibited globally with major shows in NYC, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Thailand and Canada. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the West Collection, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, and MOCA Miami among others. Stark recently completed major commissions for Facebook’s Menlo Park, California headquarters, Miami International Airport, and the Surf Lodge in Montauk, in addition to recently being the featured artist for the 32nd Annual MTV Video Music Awards. She lives and works in Los Angeles.
